I am trying to remove the portion of this login(tty22): that syas (tty22). I am on an RS6000 and cannot tell if it can be removed by the port or if I need to go into /etc/profile or if it is a smit variable I can change. Any helpful hints would be great. Thanks ALL.

i dunno exactly what portion u want to remove, but if you want to remove a TTY, here's how:

1. smit tty
- then select "remove a tty"
- use arrow keys to select which you want to remove

2. hit enter to finish/execute
