Hey folks does anyone know if it's possible to setup a network connection to log into a 9751 instead of using a modem with one of those Serial to Ethernet adapters?

NEVER TRIED THOSE SERIAL TO ETHERNET ADAPTERS BUT I DON'T SEE WHY NOT, WE USE A DEVICE THAT CONNECTS TO THE SWITCH VIA SERIAL BUT WE ACCESS IT BY TELENET AND THEN CHOICE WHAT PORT WE WANT BE IT PHONEMAIL, NODE 1, NODE 2, NODE 3 AND SO ON.

Huh... How did you set that up? Can you access those switches from anywhere on your network or do you have to be a particular computer to login?

I can access it from any computer on our network that has Procomm as long as there are no firewall issues.

can you tell me what kind of equipment your using for this setup? Manufacturer, Model

We use the Digi PortServer TS which comes in a 2 port model. Works great. Just use Procomm in telnet mode to port 2001 for port 1, 2002 for port 2 which could be connected to Phonemail.
