Hey there, I've been learning a boat load this last few month, but I'm still new to a lot of these ideas and concepts and I need your help. My husband and I live in a huge condo complex and we (the others members of the association included) are sick of paying so much for so little, for our individual internet packages (aren't we all?). The complex was built with a 1Gig pipe into the backbone of a local network, so that's our access. We don't want to run cable to each unit for obvious fiscal reasons, so we started looking into wireless, and so far its working out just fine. But we ran into a problem that I need your with. We've been trying to figure out how we want our members to login and access the network and I think we found what we want. Have you ever flown on Delta recently, or any airline for that matter? Well, when you're on the plane and open your computer and open your network connection you can see Delta's network called "GOGO" internet. You can click on it and connect just fine but then a little bubble down by the network connections button pops up and says "additional information may be required". Then you go to your browser and sure enough you can't access their internet until you pay them then use the login and password you create (conniving little D-bags). We would like to do the same (or similar) for our condo. that way, if our band width is not all used up let those in the nearby area, in home, to pay $10 or so a month if they so choose. To help with the cost of all this and what not. In a nutshell my question is, How do we do this? Is it a program that we have to wright? or is it simply a process of configuring our router and/or server? I hope my question makes sense, but if not please ask for clarification.
Thank you so so much in advance
