Hi all,

If I first give you a briefing of want I want to do...then if someone can
tell me if it is possible and how to go about it I would be most grateful!

OK here goes...

I have a 12 workstation environment all running Windows 2000 Professional in
a P2P network. What I want to be able to do is create a login script on one
of the machines that will run when any of the other machines start up and
are logged in. I thought it would be a simple case of creating a batch file
on one machine putting it in a shared folder and then on the other machines
accessing the local user properties, going into their profile tab and
directing the login script box to the shared folder (through a UNC path).
Hmmm...should be asy I thought...too bloody easy that it did not work. Each
time I was trying to enter the UNC path to the batch file I was getting an
error message saying I needed to put in a 'relative path' (whatever that
is?).

I am trying to do the impossible here - any suggestions would be really
appreciated!

Cheers,

Craig.

There is 1 flaw really in your setup and that is because all your systems are running Windows2000Pro it will be fine for upto 10machines but when the 11th machine comes to connect it will get rejected. This is becuase Windows2000 Pro only allows 10 concurrent connections at one time.

And for your script how exactly are you mapping the shared folder are you using net use? Could you paste a copy of your batch file.
