Hi all,
If I first give you a briefing of want I want to do...then if someone can
tell me if it is possible and how to go about it I would be most grateful!
OK here goes...
I have a 12 workstation environment all running Windows 2000 Professional in
a P2P network. What I want to be able to do is create a login script on one
of the machines that will run when any of the other machines start up and
are logged in. I thought it would be a simple case of creating a batch file
on one machine putting it in a shared folder and then on the other machines
accessing the local user properties, going into their profile tab and
directing the login script box to the shared folder (through a UNC path).
Hmmm...should be asy I thought...too bloody easy that it did not work. Each
time I was trying to enter the UNC path to the batch file I was getting an
error message saying I needed to put in a 'relative path' (whatever that
is?).
I am trying to do the impossible here - any suggestions would be really
appreciated!
Cheers,
Craig.
