i want to run a logon scripts for all the domain users.so i enter the batch file name in users profile--- logon scripts.
& copy that script in winnt\..\scripts\import.
but the script is not running on logon. what can be the problem.

There could be many problems. It sounds like the user isn't being authenticated on the server housing the batch file.

Go to a workstation and at the command prompt type: echo %logonserver%

There are two different routes to go depending on the above listed results. Let me know if the user is being authenticated on the right server or not.

Make sure the path is right too.

WINNT\system32\Repl\Import\Scripts
 
MAke sure you can see the script by browsing to %logonserver%\netlogon. If the script isn't there then it isn't in the correct folder (WINNT\system32\Repl\Import\Scripts). If you have more than one DC make sure the script has replicated.

When I was running NT 4 I had a whole bunch of scripts and needed to replicate them to several DCs. I found that the directory replicator didn't work too well (even microsoft admits it). I recommend using robocopy.exe (you can find it in the resource kit). I created a batch file with the robocopy command for each DC in it and would run it after I modified a script so I could guarentee that it replicated to all DCs.
