Login Failed for user "NULL"

All of a sudden i have a sql 200 server getting this error: Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. Once i restart the services on that server it runs fine. Any ideas. we believe we have a virus as we cannot also open regedit and task manager.

Sounds more like a permissions issue than a virus if that offers any comfort.
