I have been experimenting with the aspx login controls. Can someone tell me where the actual data is stored and can additional data fields be created?

Thanks

You need to use membership providers to use the login control. There are many examples on line.

The login controls can store and retrieve the data from SQL Server. There is a security wizard that will automatically create the database for you if you have Express or better installed. And yes, you can add additional fields; although, I have never bothered to try.

The login controls can even use the data in your existing ActiveDirecty database so that users can login with their existing credentials.

Do a Google search for "asp.net login control tutorial", and I'm sure you'll find something to get you going.
