I have 2 pc's in a workgroup enviroment. both can see each other. both are Windows xp pro. the issue is everytime i want to see how much disk space is left over on the C: drive or any drive for that matter on computer B accessing logical disk manager thru computer management from computer A, i get an error stating that i do not right to access the logical disk manager. I have tried everything that i found on google and mostly this issue applied to Windows 2000.

The User as which you are connecting to computer B through computer A must be an administrator in both computer A as well as in computer B, and the RPC service should be running in both machines.

Also the firewall for each should allow the incoming and outgoing connections for the RPC.

Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

I have already checked that. the account i use is in the local admin group. it is my name that i use with password. both RPC running on both pc's

Hi,
You may want to also check that the A pc as well as your user account has rights to access the B's Logical Disk Manager
