Hi,

I have a Cisco 2611 router. I am not strong with routers, but I have a question regarding logging. When I type the show logging command, I get a response that in Console logging, there are 12 messages and Trap logging, there are 15 mesages. I can not figure out how to look at the messages.

The reason I need to do this, is that every so often the router seems to go into a loop and must be rebooted. I can not figure out what is wrong. I replaced the WIC card, but that did not help. When I checked Cisco's web page on this subject, it suggested replacing the chassis. I am hoping there may be something in a logged message that may tell me what's the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

service timestamps debug datetime localtime
service timestamps log datetime localtime

logging buffered 5000 debugging
no logging console

This will log all messages into the buffer where they can be viewed with the sh logging command.

Chris.
