I have one more question.

All examples of using DTO that I have seen from Pervasive force the user to login using the same information that the user uses to login to their computer. This information is then passed to the DTO session to make a connection. Is there a way to pass this information or use NT Authentication so the user does not have to login again? Thanks and Good Luck!

You just need to make sure the user information passed to DTO has admin rights to the system it's connecting to. info@mirtheil.com

So, I need the server (or computer name) but not necessarily the user name or password.

As long as the current user has admin rights on the machine the pervasive server is located on.

Therfore the only time I may need to prompt for username and password is when the user only has the client installed and the engine is located on another machine for which the user does not have administrative rights.

Is that clear? Thanks and Good Luck!

You'll always need the computer name, user name, and password except when connecting to a local machine running the Pervasive engine. How you get that information is up to you.
