Logging Floppy Access...=(

Is there any API call or perhaps a way to intercept calls in explorer?...I am looking to make a program which logs floppy drive access for work...because we have to keep floppy drives open, but we have a lot of stuff that could and has been attempted to be stolen via floppy...if we have a log...the damage can only go so far...the lawsuit would finish it...;) But is there ANY way to log the floppy drive...I have been looking for like 2 years, and haven't found a single person who has done it...hope you guys can help me.
