Logging all DB connections

I'm running MSSQL 2k. on Wind2003.

I need a way to log all DB connections so that I can monitor performance during peaks.

Is there a way to do this? External tools?

Help. Thanks.
 
SQL Profiles can log everything that is going on within the server.
