I saw in the FAQ's that you could record calls.

I have a situation where my Tech Support manager wants to know how many incoming and outgoing call are made from the tech support extensions and their duration. How could this be done?

Recording calls:
1. Like taping a call is a function of Vmail.
2. Like a print out of all calls, requires an extra device, (SMDR6), and some Call Detail Recording software running on a local PC.

I see there are SMDR1 - 6. Are they all the same? What is an example of some CDR software?

What's the revision of KSU you're running? It sounds like you've got a MICS. The software level is printed on the black software card inside the cabinet.

The software Dewey's referring to is third party. We usually use RSI, but everyone has their own preferrences. The SMDR unit spits out call data real time, and the PC you install the software on will build it into a database so you don't have to line by line search each call.

An SMDR6 and the software of your choice will give you what you need for a record of the calls.

As Dewey said, actually recording the calls is a function of voice mail. If you've got a NAM or Call Pilot, you can do it.
