Hi,

We found that on an NT server, the amounts of data in the logfiles affects the performance of CW2000. The ANIserver in particular.
We exceed the predefined thredshold on day 1 after restarting the NT server.
Have anyone come across some automation, to dump the content of the running log, into some kind of a generation folder?
Or have one of you written som automation to dump the log on regular basis?

I use this.
I have only recently scheduled it with the at command, and note is has to take down the server hence the time. The perl script is documented in the logfile status help.
Also remember that the NT scheduler is safer with full path names.

@Rem weekly tidyup of logs dir
@rem schedualed with - AT 03:00 /every:su d:\back-log.cmd
net stop crmdmgtd
c:\progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl c:\progra~1\CSCOpx\cgi-bin\admin\logBackup.pl -force -dir d:\cw2k-logsnet start crmdmgtd

Thx a 1000000, It works fine for us!
