New logfile is marked $.......log at Arcserve backup ?
Shall I do somting about it, or just let it be.

2-what is the location of this file?Is it unnder the folder LOG?

c:\Program Files\ComputersAssoisates\Arcserve\log

Normaly the name is J000xxxx.log now it is $000xxxx.log and
the contens of the file i ok. xxxx is jobid.

These are normal files since every job is running will create a new job log for it.

What is your problem.

If there is a * (and logfile start with $) der will not bee writing to the database, it may be corrupt.
