Logfile continuiously displays on screen

The mail log file keeps updating itself on any termianal session you open. Not sure how it even got turned on. Any suggestions on how to make it stop scrolling down the screen ?

Hi,

Sounds like someone has set off a 'tail' command with -f flag. Try (as root) :

killall tail

If that does not work, check your syslog.conf and
see if the mail logging is redirected to a /dev/tty*
type.
