I am moving some log shipping data (SQL) from one type of storage to another.. the front end is a Windows 2003 server running log shipping in order to log the db's and trans logs to a NAS that is going to be decommissioned.. I need to move this data to a newer SAN product we have..

do I need to stop SQL engine and turn off log shipping at all? I have taken care of the new lun creation and mounting of the new volume as far as storage is concerned.. just wasn't sure if I could just do a live move without disrupting SQL and log shipping

thanks for any info
