Log shipping set up failing

I've been trying to set up log shipping between two servers both running windows 2003 sp2 and SQL Server 2000 sp4 Enterprise edition.

I receive the following error:
Error 229: EXECUTE permission denied on object 'sp_add_log_shipping_primary', database 'msdb', owner 'dbo'.

Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you do not have sysadmin rights on the remote machine.

I beleive that you need to have sysadmin rights to both servers to setup Microsoft's log shipping.
