We have a problem with users who connect via Terminal Services (Windows Server 2003 – Enterprise Edition). At the initial login screen the ‘log on to:’ is blank and the users have to select the domain from the drop down list. There is only one domain and previously the domain was automatically populated in the field with no user intervention required. Can anyone suggest anything to get us back to the way it used to be?

Open the Terminal Services Configuration snap-in on the Terminal Server. Right-click the connection (for example RDP-Tcp) in the right pane and select 'Properties'. Click on the 'Logon Settings' tab and click the radio next to 'Always use the following logon information:'. Fill in your domain name in the 'Domain:' field and click 'OK'.
