Hello,

I am trying to install IXOS Clinet on a Windows2000 PC's
through SMS. The problem I am having is once the install
is complete I need an admin to log in to finish the setup.

How could I get the sms account to login again for a
certian time period and log off??

Any Suggestion Would be GREAT!!

Cheers!!

Dom

You could get sms to login and set the local policy of the windows 2000 client to logoff after a set period of time, or use the rundll (can remeber the full command, see microsoft.com) command to logoff the user using the remote tools within SMS, but if you are going to use remote tools you may as well do it with the remote desktop feature.

You can use the AutoAdminLogon method, similar to the method used for deploying Internet Explorer.

Here's how to do it by editing the registry:

You can incorporate this into an SMS Installer script that wraps your installation file, inserts the registry information for logging on with Admin rights, reboots the computer and logs in with Admin rights, finishes up the installation, resets the Admin logon information to the standard setting, and then reboots one more time.
