When I do a 'who' it shows three entries one of which is me and two are from other logins by me as my non root user. How do I go about logging these off? Or are they supposed to be there?

do they show an inactive tty?
That's only the last user on that tty, perhaps months ago.
Do they show a date?

Use 'w' to show currently loged in users.
If the tty is really used by these users, switch to the console and issue 'exit' and the user is loged off.
