Hi @ll

Expert help with a strange problem needed :

For a week now I am encoutering a problem with looging out from a Windows Server 2003 Sp1 machine. The Machine is a Member Server (hp Proliand ML 350 G5) and whatever account I use (local/domain) on pressing the log out button in the start menu nothing happens.
Using logout.exe from the command line or via task manager has the same negative result.

Thanks in advance

cheers Till [lightsaber]

What happens if you reboot?

Hi 58sniper

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the same happens. Not even shutting down the machine via the power button.
May thisis be a rights problem or a service or process refusing to stop ?

Cheers Till

Try stopping the svchost.exe service that is taking the most RAM and see if that fixes it. Then try SP2, uninstall anything you don't need and windowsupdate.
