How do you turn the Baner on and off? Is there a way to edit the text in the banner?

you can change it in element manager or ld 117.

That is correct, Gene, and you can also easily change it in Element Manager as well.

Buddy,

I can't remember exactly, but the Banner Message change capability came in 4.0 or 4.5.

There is a way to change banner text on 3.0, but you would completely void the warranty on the software. :-(

Even 5.0 and I think 5.5 are "best effort" support now from Avaya. Which basically means they are not going to write any new code or patches to fix problems. It has been taking us weeks now to get anything complicated resolved with Avaya support.
