I'm a Window's Visual Basic programmer switching to the IBM's Websphere environment. I am used to writing application error messages to the Window's Event Log on the server running the application. Is there something similar in the IBM's Websphere environment? From my limited knowledge Websphere can run on the AS/400, Linux, Windows and other operating systems so I'm guessing I should use something very generic like a text file. Is there something better than a text log file?
