Hi Im a total newbie at all of this and im not sure this is the right place for this question but any help would be greatly appreciated. Basically I have a hosting package which i host multiple sites on in separate directories. I have downloaded the log files and I want to generate a report for one of the sites. I have been playing with a program called Weblog Expert Lite (available at however as the log files are for the whole of my hosting (including other sites in directories) the report that is generated by the program doesnt give me stats for just the site i want, it gives me stats for everything.

Does anyone know of any program I can use (pref free but i would pay a reasonable amount) that would use the log files but only display the information that is relevant to the site im interested in?

I hope this makes some sense

Excellent thanks for the replies guys, i will check out the software suggested today.

Just to confirm will all these programs show me stats for a specific website in a log which contains stats for multiple sites?

I can't answer the question you ask regards whether those packages will show stats for a specific website in your scenario. I can offer a suggestion for you though...

How about you run a quick "find and replace" over the log file? You can use regular expressions (in something like Textpad - a version is available for trial at to remove any data not specific to the "website" you are interested in getting stats for. This is especially practical if it's a "once off" rather than a monthly thing.

Oh... this solution will then allow you to use ALL the weblog analysis tools without any problem (including all of those mentioned above).

Hope that helps,
Jeff

I ended up trying FunnelWeb as suggested by ChrisHirst and it works a treat, does exactly what i need. Thanks everyone for the suggestions
