I am getting random lockups in Windows 2000, sometimes my computer crashes after a few minutes or 12 hours!!

I have the following:

AMD Athlon 1GHz
1.25GB RAM 133Mhz
ABIT KT7-RAID Motherboard
ELSA Gladiac Geforce3 GTS
SB Live Platinum Sound Card
550 watt power supply
etc

I have tried every thing to stop this lockup, the last thing I tried was buying the 550 watt PSU but it has only reduced the crash to every 2 weeks or so!!

The most weird thing about this lockup is that Window 98 is fine, no crashes!! I have had it in Win98 for several hours in a 3D game and no crashes!! I am totally out of ideas!

Anyone have any ideas, I have asked so many people now!!

Thanks, in hope!

How much memory?!!

I assume you have the latest win2000 drivers? Is it crashing in windows, or in games?

drivers!!! check dxdiag to see if your drivers are certified. ALSO I have had problems with overheating and have download a overclocking util and UNDERCLOCKED my card by a few mhz and it was resolved. but Ill bet it is a driver issue. FatesWebb

if you do what I suggested it is not my fault...
