I have 3 DTS packages that run each night to bring data (Access 97 databases) from 3 different servers into one MS SQL 2000 database. I had to cancel a package the other day, which put it in rollback status, and it never did finish. I finally had to end task, which left two processes in current activity. The one in rollback status has 2 open files, and blocks new processes that I try to run. Now, how do I get rid of the processes without stopping/starting SQL services, and how do I set a lock timeout in a DTS package so that this will not happen again?
I am about to lose it over this!!
Thanks, Gladys

Have you tried running sp_who then 'kill' the process id ? As to how to stop it happening I can only think of using smaller transactions. Isn't there an option in DTS to set the transaction size (e.g. 1000 records)?
