Hello,

It has been some time since I have been online due to an accident in my workshop. An apprentice failed to check a vehicle was in neutral before winding over the engine and jumping it off the ramps with me underneath it. Long recovery but could have been much worse.

I am just getting back into the swing of things and did some more work on my database, which is getting to where I want it to.

One thing that is driving me crazy is the tool bars, which seem to have a mind of their own, despite me organizing them every time they change. In particular, they do not seem to like to share the same line and I often get a 2" high selection.

Is there any key to sorting these out? I have no problems with any other of my Office 2003 programs.

Thanks,
Darren

p.s. I thought I had posted this last night but is seems to have disappeared. If it does show, I apologies for the duplication.

Sorry to hear about the accident and glad you are recovering. Welcome back to the forums. I too have found that in designing databases, the toolbars go all over the place. What I do to prevent this for the end users is I have designed a custom toolbar, and I only give that 1 toolbar in the production copy of my application.

I have the traditional open and save buttons, and email ,copy, cut, paste, find, sort asc and desc (they only become enabled when there is something to sort) and filter buttons. I also have 2 buttons that launch a form. 1 is for help with contact information and the other one says smile, which pops-up a form with a really nice sunset. It's silly but I have had a lot of users tell me they click it all the time.

Thanks misscrf - that sounds beyond the reach of my powers at the moment! I guess I'll just have to keep chasing!

Cheers,
