From a designers point of view,I am a great fan of layers, although I realise a great many people reading this will be shaking their heads in disagreement. Most of the time I can resolve cross browser issues, with a bit of a re-think. (100% of the time they're in Netscape!)

Recently however, a friend of mine pointed out that if the browser text size is set significantly larger than the one I designed it in, the whole design scrambles horribly.

Does anyone know of a java script that detects and locks the browser text to a set size while viewing the page with layers?

I believe if you set the font size using points (eg. 12pt) in CSS instead of the standard HTML method, the browser's font settings are ignored.
