I have searching the internet, but have not found an answer to my question.

I want to lock the tables in access so that they are only editable through a form, and the tables themselves are only editable by me. Like password protecting the tables, so that i have access to changing them, but no one else can change the design or the data in datasheet view.

How secure do you have to be? Are you trying to keep out friendly users who would prefer working on forms, are they hostile users trying to break into the backend to corrupt the data? Makes a big difference on how secure. If you really need to lock it down, you probably need a SQL Server backend. If it is relatively friendly users then you can do most of this by hiding the menu, navigation panes, and building dialog forms that keep you from getting to anything but other forms.

ah i see ok, i also found another way to lock the tables, thanks for the info
