We have international users accessing our reporting applications (7.2.2) and would like to restrict access during ETL hours. Is there a way to lock down MSI at any of the level (logon, project, report, user) during data loading?
For example, User cannot access MSI projects between 8 to 12 PM.
I would love to hear what strategies have been used to accomplish this?

You can idle the projects and that will prevent users from executing reports or accessing the system. You can use Execution Idle and/or Request idling. This will lock the system for all users.

Thanks reisw,
Can the execution and/or request idle be automated? We are looking for a solution that does not need to have the administrator maintain.

You can use command manager to control both options.

you can also schedule full project idle and resume using the "schedule administrative tasks" in desktop.
