I have home wireless router from Verizon (Westall) I'm attempting to lock down the router...What kind of security can I use. Can lock it down by what mac addresses can use the wireless router(not sure how to break into the wireless router though) or WEP security(not quite sure how to configure the WEP key though)...Any ideas on what I could use.

You can access the router settings by entering the ip address of 192.168.1.1 into your browser address bar. Be aware, though, that in order to access the wireless security settings, whoever setup the router initially probably entered a username and password, and you'll need that, unless you restore factory settings (Maintenence|backup/restore|third option).

Under Configuration|Wireless you can set Wep encryption, change SSID, and set up MAC address filtering.
