Anyone know of this one? All the sudden I can't access my PBX through the terminal machine again, When I try to type anything whether it be ld 20, or any other command and hit enter the cursor just flashes, meaning the return button is not sending the commands, I've tried rebooting the box but it comes back up with the same problem, my connection never changed, any thoughts?

TTY port could be disabled - switch will automaticaly disable ports that get noise (stuck key or bad connection can cause noise)

Connect to another TTY and check in LD 37 / stat

Also, login as maint set, go tot ld 37, and enable tty x

when you say another TTY? Do you mean connect to the switch using a different computer? Sorry I'm kind of new at this

What type of Switch?

If option11, there is a 3 way pig tail off switch for tty 0, 1 and 2. TTY 0 baud rate is set by dip switch on SSC card, the other 2 are set in programming.

Connect terminal to of of these other TTY ports. play with your baud rate until you get a response.

If larger switch, connect to j21 or j25 depending on your Device and DTE or DCE and should be set for 9600/7/s/1

I see what you're saying, I went into the terminal, through OTM, ran a stat on that and my tty 1 is enbl which is the maintence terminal.

If you have option 11 TTY 1 baud is set in program

LD 22
Req:prt
Type: adan tty 1

look at settings and make sure terminal is set the same.

i thought tty 1 was the one that was set with the faceplate switch on the ssc, or is that tty 0

Do you have to login as maint to enable/disable a TTY port? We've got OTM giving us this error when trying to dial one of our switches (the others work fine)... was thinking I could disable, then re-enable, but I don't have the maint pw....

thanks!

If you can go to LD 37 and get the >, then you have the password.
