Have recently upgraded to client 4.9 on Win 2K workstations. Use ZEN to login to server to authenticate to workstation. Last week, one user, this week 2 more complained of this problem (they have been using the new setup for a couple of weeks).

Out of the blue, user can't unlock his screensaver from NDS - says it is the wrong password. If we switch to windows view, the password works, but assumes a different user, so logs out of the workstation completely. This also occurs with the adminstrative password. I made sure the cap lock and num lock keys were correct. Also checked their change password requirements - they are no where near their time to change.

When user logs back in (with normal password) he gets all his normal access...until the next time the screensaver kicks in. I have disabled the password required feature for now, but would like to be able to use it for security.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Leslie

You're not alone. I've noticed some wierd problems very similar to yours. I just haven't had time to look into it much.

i seen this lately but only on two black gx240/260
when you pull the tab to windows login
type pwd in and all ok

these two had 4.83 sp2 on it with 2000/xp

Trouble is, that when you pull the tab to the Windows log in, it lets you in as a different user. It logs the NDS "you" out.

Color is the newer PC's - they all come black now.
