Locked out of Aloha POS backoffice

Hi - I accidentally termed the only employee who apparently has access to the back office aloha program. Obviously wouldn't have done that had I known. Later, someone closed the application and now we cannot get back in. Is there any way I can tweak an aloha system file in order to unterm this employee or give boh access to another? Or, if not, any other suggestions?

can't say offhand. not in the restaurant and yes the restaurant is open for business now

The easiest way to fix you problem is to revert back to data from a few day's ago but any changes made after that will no longer be in effect.

1. Make a backup copy of NEWDATA.
Using my computer - browse to your aloha directory, usually
c: or d: \aloha\ or it could be bootdrv\aloha. In that directory look for NEWDATA. Rright click on newdata and rename it to old-newdata.

2. Select a dated sub 20110407 right click - select copy - move mouse to a blank destination - right click and paste. Depending on your windows version you should get a directory - Copy of 20110407. Right click on this one and rename it to NEWDATA.

3. Browse to NEWDATA, look for the trans.log file and delete it.

4. You should be able to log into Aloha manager using your old password.

5 Add your new manager and password in Aloha Manager and give them full access to BOH.

6. Open Aloha Manager under Manager - maintenance - store settings - system - change the Date of Business to today's date and then under utilities - refresh data.

Way too much work and room for error Coorsman. Why smoke the entire database for one file?

Easiest way to fix it is to copy the EMP.DBF file from the previous day you deleted them. Paste it in the DATA folder and restart Aloha Manager. You will however lose any new employess you've added since then. If you then add their user numbers back in the reports will place their name back in to the reports.
