I tried to open my databse and I get the following error messages: "You or another user may have unexpectedly quit Microsoft Access while a Microsoft Access database was open" then it ask "Do you want Microsoft Access to attempt to repair the database?"
The database is setup in a workgroup with 12 users. It is password protected. When I Click on "yes" to repair the database I get another message: "Invalid password"...the correct password was typed then another message: "can't be repaired or isn't a Microsoft Access database file". It seems like Access automatically changed the password or something. Thanks for your help!

There is one tool that would have saved you, especially when working with 12 users on the same database.
The tool is called .. BACKUP !

If you did not do that, your lost, sorry.
