I'm a long time basic use of Paradox. Started with DOS years ago, running PDOX 8 for years. Recent problem has just thrown me for a loop.

I keep a 20 meg DB on a 100 mg Zip using it at my office and home from the Zip address.
Zip is internal "G" drive at home and portable Zip at work with an "E" address.
Monday I inserted Zip at work and would not open. Did not write message but related to file being lock by another user or session.

Returned home, disk works fine but noted that at any time I try to eject Zip, (working directory is NOT the Zip) I now get message "Drive G has been removed. Press Ok to shutdown Paradox or Cancel to proceed." This is something new and seem to be related to overall problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Bob

Bob,

Use Windows Explorer to examine the contents of the ZIP disk itself. You will likely find one or more .LCK (or .NET) files. Carefully delete just those files.

You should be able to open the table(s) then.

For best results, do this when Paradox is not running.

Hope this helps...
