I have a database setup on a network drive with a front and back end with multiple users allowed. The database has worked beautifully until today. I was in redoing a form which of course locked the database, after awhile I went to save a recent change and it told me it was locked user<name> on machine<name>. So I rebooted as I was the one who had both the front and back end's locked. I am at my 4th hard restart with no luck on unlocking it. I let my computer sit for about a 1/2 hour totally turned off and still nothing. I checked the open mode and it is set to shared. Any ideas, I need to get in to make these changes as the database is used to hold our call centers payroll. Thanks!

If you are sure no one is in the DB simply delete the LDB file. The ldb file should be deleted when the last person leaves the DB. However, due to the fe being exited poorly or by a reboot, the ldb file could still exist.

I tried to have patience but it took to long! :) -DW
