Lock text size

Hello,

In IE 6 text size can be set in the view menu. But sometimes the size is altered by itself. How can I make it stay at the size I've selected?

From Tools menu, select Internet Options / General /
Accessibility (lower right corner) and check Ignore
Font Size .

Seron,

backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International\Scripts

Right-click on the Scripts key, choose new>DWORD value, name it Default_IEFontSize. Right-click on Default_IEFontSize and typoe in one of the following numbers:

1=smallest
2=smaller
3=medium
4=larger
5=largest
=================================================
To lock IE font size so it can't be changed, backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft

Right-click on the Microsoft key, choose new>Key, name it Internet Explorer, right-click on the Internet Explorer key, choose new>Key, name it Restrictions. Then you'll need to right-click on the Restrictions key , choose new>DWORD value, name Fonts. Right-click on Fonts, choose modify and type in the number 1.

Thanks for the replies.

I edited the registry as suggested by reghakr but IE6 still sometimes resets to the medium text size, just like before.

Only the first window opened is affected. New windows spawned from the first use the same font size as the first.

It only happens sometimes. I think most of the time it remembers the text size. I can't see a pattern to why it switches.

I should add that the OS is Windows XP pro.
