Hi all!
Issue: Outlook 2003 gives you the option of whether or not to send read receipts back to the sender. We want to always send read receipts and take this option away from the user and somehow lock it so they can't change it back.
I have thought about GP and tested it but the only problem is that in the GP, the entire tracking options page is what gets pushed out to the client. You can't just change the option of what to do with read receipts.
So we obviously want read receipts, so this option has to be checked, but when we check it, the setting is pushed out to all Outlook 2003 clients and people that didn't have read receipts enabled will now be enabled.
I found in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\ReceiptResponse where to change from 0,1 or 2 but is there a way to lock/gray-out the tracking options page once I do this so the user cannot change it back? When I was testing with group policy, and the tracking options were pushed out, it grayed out the tracking options page...
What I want to do is just change this one setting, not the entire tracking options page through GP. If I can change the registry key and then lock it/gray it out using another registry key, that would work out best...
Is there a registry key to lock the tracking options page?
Thanks in advance!
