Lock Periods by Subledger 1

Hi, I'm using Accpac 6 PU1.
I've locked IC as I'm trying to prevent users from posting IC transfers during stock count.

I noticed I can still do transfers, even though IC is locked. All that changes is a warning message Accpac displays, after which it proceeds posting anyway.
Is this a bug?

No - go to Company Profile, Options and change Locked Fiscal Period from Warning to Error.

Is there also a way to turn off the warning message when logging on to Accpac.
I don't understand why every user needs to notified every time he logs on that IC is locked.

You can add this to the list of suggestions. I guess the challenge is - would it be a global setting or per group? And when would you tell them? When they open a report or just a data entry screen? Perhaps they don't need to enter a transaction but only need to look at a historical transaction. My guess is that the designers figured the one warning when you log in is sufficient and then they don't have to keep track of that condition anymore.
