We have clipper networked appplication installed on a windows 2000 server (formerly on Novell server) that has run successfully for several years. About 12 workstations are connected.
A remote workstation now accesses the program by means of a VPN connection and we are using the Georgia Softworks Telnet Server on the 2000 Server. We have broadband access to the internet at the 2000 server end and at the remote workstation.
The program crashes sometimes when run from the remote workstation. The error message on the screen gives the following information:
system DBFNTX
description Lock failure
Code 1035
The instruction being executed is:- seek '!2'
Help to cure the problem would be welcome.
