I am currently migrating an Access database and trying to iron out a lot of bugs and make the application run smoother. I am sure there is a way where you can lock the current form so that a user cannot switch back to previous forms loaded in the background.

I do recall a property which can be used in VB but not sure if this is available in Access (VBA). I have tried to search previous threads but as you can imagine searching on the words “lock” and “restrict” has often lead me down the wrong path.

Any help/info would be much appreciated.

Did you try to open the form in Dialog mode ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

I am not familiar with the term so in the parameter for DoCmd.OpenForm I used the following syntax,

DoCmd.OpenForm "Form Main Menu", acDialog

The form then shows as if it was Data Entry and I cannot see the two main command buttons?

Some clarification would be helpful.

DoCmd.OpenForm "Form Main Menu", , , , , acDialog

Hope This Helps, PH.
