location codes

The company I work for has a private voice network across north america with one site having a location code of 976. I know it seems stupid but someone wasn't doing their homework when they picked location codes. Access to our private network is available by dialing 8+ location code + 4 digit extension. Currently it does not work. Does it have anything to do with the fact that 9+1+976 sequences are blocked at our site? If the programming was done correctly it should only apply to the public toll network, not to our private network. Does anyone know where I would check to make the changes? I have already verified that 976 has been entered as a location code in ld 90. I have added other codes in the past and it worked, however, 976 appears to require different treatment.

Verify if the acod of 8 is AC1 or AC2. Then verify that the 976 LOC is defined for the appropriate TRANS.

Thanks for the response but it has since been resolved through escalation to a telecom service provider. They were not forthcoming in terms of explaining how they did it but what you mentioned I had already verified. Thank-you just the same!!
