I need to enable calls to india from tokyo. Tokyo is in location 30.

What i think is enable it in ARS location 30 table by adding

dialed string min max route pattern call type
0091 10 18 r8 intl

question is : since i am using location based ARS, do i need
to enable it in ARS all table as well or just ARS 30 table?

and MIn max digits 10 18 , is that correct?

also call type should be intl or pubu?

If you don't enable the ARS for a specific location, then the systeem will default to the master table. Therefore make sure you do put your setting in the location 30 ars table.

If you don't make the location ars settings specific enough the system will use the master table, but 0091 should be good enough.

If it doesn't route through the correct trunk, change the location ars setting to be 0091xxxxx with the min set to 9

I always use pubu and calls route fine around the world.

Thanks Inerguard,

So no need to deny 0091 in master ARS table...correct?

also use clltype pubu rather intl..correct?

is it necessary to put dialed string as 0091xxxxx rather 0091 in location 30 ARS?

In ARS all table 0095 is set as "deny", shall i allow it as well?

correction..
IN ARS all table, 0091 is set to "deny"...

i assume if 0091 is allowed in location 30 ARS , it over rides ARS all table...correct?

thnks..

Correct - populate location 30... 10/18 is correct, unless the calling number is greater than 18 digits in length (or less than 10).

0091 would encompass every number that began with 0091 and had between 10 & 18 digits. If you want to get more granular, and more digits to your entry.

Personally, I put (1) number I know (like a pizza house or something) and start with that to ensure the routing is all correct before applying the change to the entire range.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

We also have a entry in ARS all table for 0091 which is
set to deny.

So i assume if we leave 0091 in ARS all table set to deny and add 0091 in location 30 ARS table and use calltype pubu. The user in location 30 can call country code 0091...correct? pls confirm..
