Hi,

I have some config on our system which relates to a circuit we used to have installed. The cable was removed from the PRI card a few years ago and I now have a need to re-install it. The issue is I don't know which card the config is associated with!!
We have 10+ Dual PRI cards installed and I'd simply be guessing as most of them are not in use....

The config is as follows:

Is there a 'map' of the layout to find out which card 062-01 is on?

Many thanks.

This is a DPNSS link which resides on Loop 'DDCS' in DPNSS terms '62' and DDSL '62' Signalling CCS (CommonChannel)along with your virtuals

Its probably a DDP card with an onboard Dchannel for DPNSS board located within your Network Shelf 'Loop 62' the first channel/trunk on the card

Cheers!!

Try having a look in the chapter on Module Configuration in the System Engineering NTP 553-3001-151. It shows the typical layout for an 81C in terms of network groups.

I haven't worked on 81C's for ages but I think the PRI card is in Network Module Group 1 Shelf 1 and the card will be in slot 13/14. Loop 62 should be the second PRI?

If the co-ax? is spare, looping it should produce a "reaction" on the PRI card.

Cheers for your help.
In that slot I have a Clock Controller card, which then feeds to the second port on a dual PRI card (DCH 14 and 15),. This however is in Network group 0, Shelf 0 slot 7. Could this be the one?

That PRI card sounds like your clocking sources

You may find the one your looking for is in Network Group 1 Shelf 1, slot 11

Cheers!!

how about disabling the ddcs and ddsl and then look for the red light?????

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Cheers guys.
The DCHI card was in Network Group 1, Shelf 1, in slot 11, which was connected to the PRI card in slot 12! I did as suggested and looped the cable via a Coax loop and the circuit came up.....

Thanks for your help.

will show a list of all pri's and the dch.. you can print the adan x dch(ld 22) to see how may pri;s the d controls. example
Code:
ADAN DCH 125
  CTYP MSDL
  GRP 2
  DNUM 14
  PORT 1
  DES SENATE125
  USR PRI
[COLOR=red]  DCHL 125[/color]
  OTBF 31
  PARM RS422 DTE
  DRAT 64KC
  CLOK EXT
  IFC D100
  SIDE USR
  CNEG 1
  RLS ID 36
  RCAP ND2
  MBGA NO
  OVLR NO
  OVLS NO
  PRI INTERFACE ID
[COLOR=red]  076  2
  077 3
  140 4[/color]
  T200 3
  T203 10
  N200 3
  N201 260
  K 7
you can see on this one, it is channel 24 on loop 125, and is the d for loop 125,76, 77 and 140..

then when i do the map dch command

Code:
.map dch

DCH 003 : GROUP 02 MSDL 14 PORT 2
DCH 004 : GROUP 02 MSDL 14 PORT 1
DCH 019 : GROUP 02 MSDL 11 PORT 1
DCH 028 : GROUP 00 MSDL 13 PORT 2
DCH 029 : GROUP 01 MSDL 10 PORT 3
DCH 044 : GROUP 02 MSDL 14 PORT 3
DCH 049 : GROUP 01 MSDL 10 PORT 2
DCH 061 : GROUP 01 MSDL 11 PORT 0
DCH 093 : GROUP 02 MSDL 11 PORT 2
DCH 100 : GROUP 02 MSDL 11 PORT 0
DCH 101 : GROUP 00 MSDL 13 PORT 1
DCH 125 : GROUP 03 MSDL 10 PORT 0

the msdl is in group 3, device number 10 port 0.. if your msdl cards do not have the device number on the faceplate.. i would recogmend adding it, since it can be in any slot in group 3...
