I'm trying to find a missing IP Phone. I know the mac address. Is there a way to pinpoint it's location? Could be in use over IP, VPN, WAN, LAN.

Well... without too much time spent on this.. you could gen your own ARP packet with a sniffer and see what comes back... I think I remember reading something like this using Linux as the base OS. The theory is that ARP would first broadcast onto the network using ARP and the mac of the target.. the arp response should contain the IP of the target.. but there are alot of assumptions made here.
