Hi guys,
I am running OS 5.8 on sun server there is a FTP process being run on half hour intervals where files and be moved to a windows based box.
How can I find this process on the Sun box?

Is there a log that keeps count of ftp sessions and whether it was successful?

Thanks in advance

Who is the ftp client? Is it the Windows box or the Sun box?

Chandu.

Install lsof if not already on the machine and then run

lsof|grep -i ftp

Once there you can narrow down the processes run, etc., as for time intervals, etc., you would want to check the configuration file.
