I have a question regarding pc-cillian anti-virus. I know this is a symantec forum, but I was hoping someone could help.

I have a client who uses outlook express for their e-mail. Under the pop settings in outlook express they have localhost rather than pop3.ispname.com. I believe that is in there so it will check incomming messages for viruses. Would it neccessarly be a bad thing if I changed that to the pop address?

Would real time proction get the virus once the message was opened?

I think you will find that changing it will only stay while you don't reboot. It will probably reset after and soft or hard reboot. The real time protection should still catch anything else, however it defeats the purpose of have POP3 protection.

Regards

Rick
