localhost 8080 and remote browser

Hello !

I am to install Tomcat on a Solaris web server which already has a jdk set up.
I hav read over some tutorials saying me that, to run my JSP pages, I could use the adress

http://localhost:8080/.

But I am not going to visualize my pages on the server, but from a remote computer (but on a common network), so I wonder if the adresse with localhost will work ?
